I have a shared Sky socket (communal flats) never had a problem, with the signal but I want Sky+ is it possible to just split the LNB cable into two and have the Sky+ box working that way or is it essential to have two seperate lines? Inoticed a friend of mine who has + with multiroom has 3 lines coming out of his LNB!

You need two separate feeds in order to be able to tune to channels on different frequencies and polarisation.

Isn't one of the points of the by now universal Universal LNB that it overcomes these problems?

Edit: Whoops - didn't read the thread properly!!!! Sorry. Ignore.
