Wow Sky have hit a new low

Launching a pointless channel that shows the same 22 films on a loop. It won't last long.

It's total gimmick but I suppose for Bond fans who won't be investing in the Bond 50 Blu-ray box set it serves a purpose.

Does this mean that ITV won't be able to show them anymore?

Do you need to have sky movie subscription to view this channel?

That's what they do at the moment, so no change there then:cool:

The channel is only going to be a dedicated Bond channel for the month of October, after that it's reverting back to Sky Movies Showcase. It was never going to be a permanent thing.

I like the idea anyway, i've already got all of them on DVD (with Casino Royale & Quantum of Solace on Blu Ray) so next month i can watch them all in HD without having to shell out £89.99. Thanks Sky.

And yes bazellis, you need a Sky Movies subscription to view the channel. Last time Sky got the rights to all of the Bond films i seem to remember that it didn't affect ITV showing them constantly, so i wouldn't worry about losing them from terrestrial/freeview.

Sky have got exclusive rights to the Bond library, for 2 years I believe.

But on a positive note the bits of the films won't be cut like on ITV plus no ad breaks, win win IMO
