Pilonidal flare up, anyone else?

Hiya all, about this time of year 3 years ago, I got a pilonidal infection 
. It was horrendously painful and I ended up going to the hospital.
Right now I am having what seems to be a flare up, with the same early symptoms as 3 years ago - uh-oh! !!
I have googled, and from what I can see people do seem to have flare ups now and again, sometimes it settles down, and sometimes it doesn't.
Does anybody here have the same thing? Do you have flare ups?
I am wondering if it is worth going to the doctors now, or not? I really don't want to waste her time!

I had this about four/five years ago and it would flare up quite consistently (sometimes really bad. I ended up having to go to hospital and having a operation. They called it a limbug flap
not had anything since then but maybe if it continues chat to your gp
I know for me when it did flare up it was agony
