Is there an app you can use for emoticons that doesn't charge you?

I was using whatsapp and noticed my friend (has a SG S4) has a button for emoticons and I don't.

I need some!

    Goto Settings, general, keyboard, keyboards, add new keyboard, choose emoji.

    The keyboard will then have a globe symbol by the space bar. They'll work in whatsapp and texts, but only in texts to other iPhone users as far as I know.

    Anyone noticed that with one of the recent updates the crossed fingers emoticons has been removed?:(

    As above its there, you just need to enable it.

    Never ever seen that on the Emoji keyboard the iPhone uses.
