    Only just, Eilidh!

She's been in Perri's OTT shadow for too long and it's good to see her get the gold and become a champion. :)

Time for Jo Pavey or '40 year old Jo Pavey' as she seems to be called now if you go by the BBC!

........and one of the pole vaulters just before

It seems like in every event there's at least one athlete who's served a drugs ban

    It's worse than cycling......

They never seem to mention Chambers ban though.

From what the guys are saying this sounds a much stronger event than the 10K that Jo won.......

I'll give her the benefit of the doubt given the circumstances of her ban. Chambers is a deliberate cheat though.

Myerscough too. They never mentioned that during the CWG.

Good win by Bahta. She must have been waiting for Hassan's late run so kept something in the tank.

It would have livened things up. :(

Women's 5,000 is always the same. Not one of my favourite events.

Brendan pointing out ethnic roots again. Doesn't matter where you live now, if you were born in Africa, you're an African through and through to Brendan!!

It is all a bloody mess though isn't it. I know they're not here but the ay Qatar and Bahrain simply buy Kenyan's Ethiopians and Moroccans is shameful.
