Anyone a fan of these shows? Who's you're fav characters? Fav episodes? ect...
Love NCIS, got hooked a few years ago. Looking forward to Season 8, this show gets better by the season. Hopefully, I would love to see NCIS go well beyond 10 seasons.
Love all the characters, especially Abby and Gibbs.
I just started watching NCIS:LA on DVD, Pretty good so far.

Good to see Sasha appear in a new TV series (Rizzoli & Isles).
And playing a "ducky" character from NCIS.
Ahhh yeah!! I did that too!! !! I had a massive NCIS marathon a few weeks ago!
I love Ducky - His stories are the best!
I get annoyed when they keep interrupting him! !
Plus they need more of him!!
As for this weeks episode of NCIS LA, wow a mention for Arsenal and Man Utd, that's the last thing I thought I'd ever hear off any of the NCIS series.
These are very mainstream vanilla "popular" (meaning both that a lot of people watch, but they're also kind of puerile) shows in America.
NCIS has some humor to it, I guess. But its also gone as stale as month old bread.
Gave up on LA hald way through season 1.
NCIS starts in just under 2 weeks, and if you look at US airing patterns, it goes:
NCIS 1 & LA 1, 2
NCIS 2 & LA 3
NCIS 3 & LA 4
I've kept the first few LA episodes back and watch in the correct order once NCIS starts.
NCIS LA, I don't find as good. All the characters are just a bunch of individuals that have no proper leader and just run around doing their own thing.
And why do they have to hide in a secret location?
Because they are all undercover operatives....
But I agree with the rest of your statement
NCIS LA is entertaining but isn't nearly as good as NCIS. The characters are not as appealing as NCIS's. Linda Hunt is the only one who really brings any depth to the show.
Never watched Jag much. Probably would have liked it.
Anyway, back to NCIS:LA - give one of the characters a cigar and it could be a credible 201X-generation remake of the A-Team. Or dress them up in white jackets and call it Miami Vice 2. Totally generic.
Yes JAG is very idealised but doesn't suffer for that - if I want real life I'll watch the news - JAG is just pure macho fun - I don't see the problem with it tbh
NCIS LA: Shows promise but needs a proper leader. They had one in the NCIS Legend 2-parter and then they got rid of her due to feedback from audience 'focus groups'.
JAG: Catherine Bell is in it. That's all you need to know.
But Hetty is brilliant (IMHO of course:D).
I don't dislike her, but I'm not a huge fan either. She doesn't give off a leadership vibe, which I get from Gibbs, or from Lara Macy (Louise Lombard) who was dumped before NCIS LA started.
Apart from the episodes they were in from the original NCIS, I don't really get that vibe from them. They are always flashing badges, kicking in doors and shouting "NCIS". They don't appear to be any more secretive than Gibb's team.
OldHippy, I like Hetty, but to me, she is the boss, not the leader. She fills the Leon Vance role, not the Gibbs role.
