Sky+HD live pause won't work

When I press the live pause button, the pause symbol comes up on the TV and even the blue light on the box comes on, but it doesn't actually pause.
It's been like that since we lost signal yesterday because of the bad weather.
Anyone have an idea how to fix it?

    Just turned it off and on at the wall, it's fine now,

    That is the usual process for fixing most problems (not just with Sky boxes - most electronics), and coined the phrase "have you tried switching it off and back on again"
