She says she called Victoria about it but doesn't say what her response was.....

She was dragged up in South London. Nuff said!
Where is the proof that she bleaches her skin?
And if every black woman choosing not to have an Afro makes them racist then that's basically most black women on the planet.
Having said, the woman is bat-shit insane.
Yes, but not having one doesn't make a black woman racist against her own race...
And that is because you are well past your Best Before date............
What a weird thing to say. Do you even know any white person who hasn't dyed, styled or/and permed their hair and tried a suntan at least once in their life? Do you declare them racist to their own race for not having their hair and skin remain "natural"? No? Then why the double standard?
And since when that only nice, kind and calm people with 100% untouched appearances, clean slates and decent birthplaces can be the ones that get to "cry racism"? Newsflash: even nasty pieces of work aren't blind to see what wrong with the picture, and they don't always manage to avoid being affected by what they see. I mean, hello?
Naomi can be a real dick, but what does her past behaviour and alleged personal choices have to do with a fact that some fashion designers like Victoria haven't been using non-white models in their fashion shows?
Agree. It's a major issue in the fashion industry - catwalk and editorial - and VB is only one of many names on the list of those who underuse/fail to use black models. As hideous as Naomi can be, she has a valid point, and as one of the few black models who has managed to maintain a successful career for over 2 decades and knows the business inside out, she has every right to be vocal about it.
What goes around goes around, even for bullies.:D
Indeed.
This is a woman whom, for much of her career, has been accused of abusing and assaulting pretty much everyone who has crossed her path at some stage, including police officers.
If some people don't like working with her it's probably to do with her anger issues, not her skin colour.
But to be fair, old Posh probably doesn't use much of the cross section of the human demographic for her models if she's true to form with the fashion industry.
Short, average, white girls who are extremely pretty/beautiful will be overlooked left right and centre because they haven't the height and/or the right 'English Rose' look, etc. There'll be lots of disappointed budding models, for all manner of reasons.
Case in point: most of those Italian perfume adverts on UK TV are amazingly sexist when you watch them. The women are just sex objects for the dashing man passing through. It's hilarious, they're about 20 years behind the times.
People can use whoever they want in their adverts. Fashion is a pointless, vapid, wasteful industry anyway, so why should they be responsible for equality propaganda? Fashion is an industry, not a social service. They're out to make people buy their crap, and the reality is these designers mostly market at white countries. Even when they market at rich Asian countries, part of the appeal is that it's European, and consumers want to see indigenous Europeans in the adverts.
Totally agree!!
I'm from South London and so I'd like you to explain your 'nuff said' because I don't think it does explain whatever point you're trying to make
There is history between them - remember the alleged "Why do they call you Posh?/Why do they call you beautiful?" exchange a few years ago?
Then they were 'best mates' for a while, but perhaps things have turned sour again. Unsurprising, since there are two very big egos being wrestled here.
Beckham didn't use all white models at her show but it wasn't enough to keep Naomi Campbell happy. I suspect given her awful public image Campbell is latching on to this cause as damage limitation. She is a byeword for vile behaviour after all... about as far away as a positive role model for black models as it's possible to get, ironically.
This is spot on ..If Africa was the fashion industries prime market then they would use black models...it's called economics
Exactly.
Accusations of whinging: typical behaviour of people who are obviously never affected by factors like this and who would like for others to have to put up with unsatisfactory situations and not to have the right to comment or seek action.
How would using black models make anyone responsible for equality propaganda? Employing a range of people of different ethnicities is perfectly normal and reasonable, not an act of propaganda. Continually selecting only white models looks very much like a deliberate act of discrimination.
Most western nations are not 'white countries'. They are multi-ethnic.
"consumers want to see indigenous Europeans". .. and a spokesperson for consumers now as well.
If she wants to talk about the abuse and poor treatment of other human beings, perhaps she should begin with those who have been unfortunate enough to cross her path.
Well a quick peek at her website and clicking on one frock tells me I can buy it in sizes 6 - 14 so you're quite wrong.
As for La Campbell. Adam Clayton had a lucky escape.
