Possible Cartoon Network and Boomerang joining?

Just noticed these channels along with CNN International have moved to the UK beam on Astra 2F. Since Turner is launching a new FTA channel, could there be a possibility to also make their other offerings free when their encryption contract expires?

The chances are minute at best.

No, 12522 MHz (or 12520 as some sites have it) is on 2F European Beam.

Has to be UK beam since I get no signal from it and the 2F european beam is fine here

    Yep.

And Flysat, Lyngsat etc. have it as European Beam.

It all depends who told them .......................

Either way, there's no chance of Cartoon Network etc. becoming FTA.

But then why do I have perfect signal on the 2F european beam, yet no signal on those?

Those top end Astra 2F European beam transponders are weak to the north east but they are certainly not UK spot beams. I can pick the new CNN transmissions on a 1.8m dish in Helsinki, although at much reduced levels from when it was on Astra 2A South. I don't get any 2F or 2E UK spot beam channels on that setup.

KOS are wrong but don't seem to be interested in updating their info.
