Jodie Marsh

I know I'm not doing charley any favours by saying this (because Jodie is hated on here), but does Charley remind anyone else of Jodie Marsh?

What was so bad about Jodie Marsh in CBB??? I was rewatching CBB4 episodes on youtube as it was my favourite celebrity series, but Michael Barrymore seemed to be treating her awfully.

Am I missing something that happened?

Marsh carried on non stop about sex, and when she wasn't talking about it she was implying it in some other fashion.

One of the most objectionable people that I have ever had the misfortune of laying my eyes on. She was just awful.

Well not entirely true, I agree with a third and a third. However the remaining 33.3% of the time she spent complaining that she was being misrepresented as a ****.

Surely not reasons for Michael to be so rude to her? Sorry but I really did think he was picking on her, and I haven't got a clue why even now. So what if he didn't like what she talked about? It was no need for her to sit her up at night and practically victimise her for just sitting in an angle that happened to be facing a camera.

I felt sorry for her :(

Oh now I've started laughing again as I remember Pete Burns and Barrymore discussing Jodie's 'fuzzy felt' book :D

No, Charley has some way to go before she's as bad as La Mush.

I don't think you're missing anything. I think you're just seeing things differently than most in this forum do.

Personally I dislike Charley more. Jodie was far from my cup of tea, but Charley is just so unduly arrogant it beggars belief.

Ah yes complaining, I forgot she did other things with her mouth open.

Trouble was Jodie spent a lot of her time going on and on ad infinitum about sex, fingers up the bum, taking photographs inbetween porn stars legs, orgies etc. etc., then she spent a lot of time slagging Jordan off - then spent the rest of her time whining that she was misrepresented as a sex mad slapper in the press, that she got booed on the way in to the house and people were nasty about her.

Michael Barrymore and Pete Burns listened to her and then offered her advice on how to deal with the press, how to try and avoid being labelled as a slag, how to cope with negativity, and advised her that if she didn't want other people (e.g. Jordan) to bitch about her, then she should try not to bitch about them. They were actually offering her good advice, and if she had been less self centred she would have realised that both these older men had far more experience of battles with the bad press and the media than she had - and she would have taken their words on board.

However, Jodie being Jodie, continued on her self pitying rant, and totally ignored the advice that was being offered. In other words, she wanted a lot of sympathy but wasn't in the slightest bit interested in how to go about rectifying the situation - basically because it was everybody elses fault but her own. Just think Barrymore and Burns got totally fed up with listening to her bellyaching about how dreadful her life was, when in fact they had both been through much worse, and they recognised that she was just an egotistical attention seeker.

Well, I don't think Barrymore and Burns were in any position to be giving Jodie "advice", do you?

They were trying to hurt Jodie under the guise of helping her. She saw right through them.

Actually I think they were both were exactly in the position to be giving her advice. They'd been there, done it, worn the t-shirts, wrung them out to dry and were still standing tall.

They had both been 'victims' of press criticism - most of it self inflicted. Both had ways of dealing with it, without whining the whole time that they were being badly treated. Barrymore advised Jodie to leave the country if she couldn't cope with it, just as he had done. Both had been through a lot worse than Jodie, and they were offering her the benefit of their experience.

They had no reason to want to hurt her - just think she just totally pi**ed them both off with her self indulgent claptrap about how she had a worse life than anybody, that everybody was horrible about her - and yet earlier on she had been spouting total vitriol about Katie Price and her disabled son. Basically, Barrymore told her that if she couldn't take it - she shouldn't be dishing it out. Pretty sound advice IMHO.
