  The spec is quite clear - HDMI is an output not an input.
  
  Front Panel Audio Input, Composite Input, iLINK DV Input
  Inputs Analog Audio x 2, Composite x 2, S-Video x 1, iLINK DV Input
  
  Outputs Analog Audio x 1, Component x 1, Digital Audio Coaxial RCA, Digital Audio Optical TOSLINK, HDMI, S-Video
  
  SCART Connectors Input / Output x 2
  
  You will not be able to simply record from HDMI.
  
  However, it does have an ILINK DV Input and it is possible to convert from HDMI to HDV. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GD2WhXesj4
  
  This will cost a lot of dosh though.

  SKY Box - TV Via HDMI
  DVD Recorder - SKY Box

  TV - SKY via HDMI
  DVD - TV via HDMI

  Quite apart from the HDMI port on the recorder being an output only even if the recorder had inputs you still would not be able to record from Sky via HDMI.
  
  The Sky box applies HDCP copy protection on the HDMI output which would prevent you recording anyway.
