It was Band of Gold for series 1 and 2, and with major cast changes became Gold for series 3.
Series 3 was awful IMO. I don't know if she was axed or if it was her choice to leave, but Barbara Dickson was badly missed. Her character (although a selfish character at times), was the mother of the group. The dymanic really changed when she left.
Series 1 & 2 were fantastic though, well worth watching.
