A car parked next door with a over year out of date tax disc has moved up the road next to another house. I am not entirely sure if they own the vehicle or not, but I find it strange why it's been moved 2 doors up when it was left outside next door over a year.
Should I report it to the DVLA? Because It's absolute joke that it's been parked outside for so long!

Go for it.

I did it for a car once, it was a very speedy process
Report it.......
You can check if its taxed on the dvlc website.
I would report it if it is taking up parking space where there are more cars than space.
This is the issue I have with the axing of tax discs.
I once checked a vehicle left outside my house.
Disc was out of date but DVLA had it as taxed.
I know what you mean, the poor busybodies will have to find something else to obsess over, what a shame.
Glad someone else noticed the important part that the vultures didn't
The public can check the tax status of any vehicle using this Govt.website . https://www.vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/
This is a relatively new service and is freely accessible to anyone.
You need the car ‘Registration number’ and the ‘Vehicle make’. The ‘vehicle make’ i.e. Ford, Vauxhall etc must be accurate otherwise the search will be rejected and you are asked to call an ‘0300’ phone number.
If the ‘Registration number’ and the ‘Vehicle make’ cannot be matched it ‘possibly’ indicates that the reg number does not belong on that particular vehicle!
The site will show if the car is legally taxed (with dates) or whether the owner has applied for a ’SORN’,(statutory off road notice). If the vehicle has a ‘SORN’ it does not need to be taxed but it must be kept on private land,
The site also shows other details of the vehicle; year of manufacture, engine type/size, emissions, colour etc.( it also shows the MOT status of the vehicle!)
If you deem it necessary the vehicle can be ‘anonymously reported’, using this site.

A car with no tax disc, unless off road and SORNed, is unlikely to have insurance or MOT so it puts everyone else's motoring costs up. I pay to keep mine taxed and insured and get bloody annoyed if someone doesn't. As you think anyone reporting an untaxed car is a busybody you are not taxing yours and think it unimportant I take it.
Yes, report it. You get a £25 reward for each car you report.
well that's my evening planned lol
We're always doing it.
We spend the money on a feast at Greggs.
According to a local community beat copper, APNR (Automatic Plate Number Recognition), will pick up who has paid their VED and who hasn't.
Of course, whether the offenders details will be filed under 'ignore' is anybody's guess.
So, if someone breaks into your neighbours house you ignore it as it's none of your business?
Where do you draw your lines about reporting things to the police, only things that you deem important or only things that affect you?
If either of you had the wit to imagine any number of scenario's where it could affect him then you wouldn't have made the pathetic comments you did.
That's an interesting observation; could you expand please.
If the car hasn't moved for a year then it obviously isn't being used so why report it now?
