Some of the leaked songs from the Overcome era were so good. I don't understand why they didn't make the album instead of filler like You Broke My Heart and Nothing but the Girl. I'm kind of glad the rumoured duet with The Wanted on Before It Explodes never happened though.

I don't think it was a duet. After Alex failed to secure the song for the Overcome re-release, they apparently got hold of it but it didn't make their album either so it subsequently went to Charice.
It's clear from David's AskFm that Alex has lost the material she recorded with Vinylz,Rico and all the other experienced producers once her record deal fell through and was left with shit like WDHG. I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't have Shine or No More You anymore..
I agree ^ I think his recent ask fm responses indicate that something has gone wrong since before Christmas when she teased NMY and Shine... He said they have a long term plan in response to whether she had a record label .. I think that pretty much says it all.

KWL have a long term plan IMO ... The road back is a long one and I think that's has to be accepted! Also, there will be lessons to learn and room for improvement ...
He didn't even seem that confident that we would ever get to her No More You even though a few months ago that looked extremely like being her debut US single
