    I'm cross .... (stamp feet )

I looked the map up and ...sod all...

I looked where I grew up ... sod all ...

    STAMP FEET LOTS OF TIMES

Seriously I wasn't expecting where I live or where I lived to be on the maps.

I did find a very interesting airfield near to where I live on the maps - result!

shame the user interface is so bad, it is a very annoying site to use.

Seems fine and pretty simple to me. If you register, you can zoom in on the photos and add annotations/identify unknown locations.

I found my old flat but current house was still fields. Fascinating seeing the old mills and factories in my town. And all the railways lines that are long gone (though we still call them the "old railway" and walk the path often)

I imagine the Jerries would have loved getting their mitts on those snaps in 1939.

" Gott In Himmell, those doltish English pig-dogs, key shots of factories, airfields and marshalling yards, they have done our job for us "

Found my parents' house. It's just one street on its own, on the coastline surrounded by fields. It's not in a built-up area even today, but it's weird seeing just how little the town was even in the 1930s! What a great site, thanks for sharing!

It's all trees where my house is. .....but we used to have a train station!

We've gone backwards since the 1920s.
