This song will take a few listens for some, I could see that. For me about the 4th listen before it really hit. Again the louder I play this song the better it sounds
As for BL comparisons they will be unavoidable. As a single BL was stronger IMO, but Happy is just beautiful, the lyrics are so so beautiful. When she nails this live the albums will be flying off the shelves.
God it's so beautiful in every way! The lyrics, the beat, the melody, the vocal! I love it when the choir kicks in halfway through the first chorus. I see what PJ was saying, its like Bleeding Love but more mature, more of a meaning.
I literally cannot stop listening to it, it's so fantastic. And I must admit it's starting to make me emotional. It's definitely better than Bleeding Love in my book.
On first listen (On a tinny iPhone speaker) I can't get over how incredible the vocal is. The dictation, power and passion really grabbed me she really have stepped it up a notch.
I am not hearing the massive worldwide number one on first listen but hey I didn't with BL either. Happy with it though definetly should do well.
