  I am guessing you use 98.2?
  Maybe try 97.9 , 98.8 . 99.3 or 99.7 I think are ones that work down there?

  Seems unlikely because all services would be off if some sort of antenna work.
  
  The odd start time suggests it was perhaps a fault and just the time taken to get someone there.

  People in Milton Keynes used to get the BBC Nationals on FM from Oxford before Bow Brickhill was in service. This was before Radio 1 was on FM - pre 1989.
  
  At least Capital is now on DAB in MK!
