It was only showing on 300 screens and its average of $8,000/screen would have put it at No2 in the weekly charts if it have been on General Release. It was a similar story in the UK, where it would have been at No 4.
Also those figures of course do not take into account all the VOD revenue which is where I and I suspect most people viewed the film on the day of its release.

Also needs to be taken into account that with the Kickstarter campaign they were basically preselling the movie because most of the pledge levels came with a digital copy. So they had basically sold 5.7mill of digital before a frame was shot
