Can you recommend a good psychological thriller please?

As the title says. I watched a couple of horrors lately but they are not really my thing. I prefer psychological films to blood and gore. Anyone got any suggestions for good ones? Thanks :)

There's a bit of blood and gore but I really thought that Antichrist was more of a psychological thriller.

I also thought the same of After.Life.

I thought Shutter Island was brilliant. Really gets you thinking too.

The Ring is a psychological horror, not gory or violent. There's a small amount of blood, nothing horrific.

Very scary in my opinion. :)

D-Tox - Sly Stallone. A straight to dvd I think but surprisingly good.

Pacific Heights - came out the same time as Silence of the Lambs. I've always thought PH was the better film. Michael Keaton does a cracking turn as the nutter.

My favourite type! South Korea totally owns this type at the moment, but I'm guessing you're not into subtitles. These English-language films are pretty good:

    The Manchurian Candidate (1962)
    The Prestige
    Shadow of a Doubt (1943)
    The Game (1997)
    Frailty (2002)
    Identity (2003)
    House of Games (1987)
    Jacob's Ladder (1990)
Nightwatch (1997) (I haven't seen the original, but I liked this remake)
Dark Water (2008) (a surprisingly decent remake of a Japanese film)
    Hard Candy (2006)
    Touch of Evil (1958)
    Session 9 (2001)
The Mist (2008) (a Stephen King adaptation. Wait, don't run away. It's pretty good, I promise.)
The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) (I know quite a few bashed this, but I enjoyed it all the same.)
    Triangle (2009)
    Bug (2008)

I think that will do for now. These two German flims Das Experiment (2001) and Das Boot (1981) deserve a shout-out as well.

You could also try the anime film Perfect Blue which seems to be where the idea for Black Swan came from (even if they deny it), minus the ballet.

My bad. Until now, I thought Black Swan was a remake of Perfect Blue. I think I assumed this because the director owns US film rights to Perfect Blue.

What's it with directors and their initial denials of foreign influences on their films, anyway? Like George Lucas, Martin Scorsese, the Wachowski brothers, Christopher Nolan, Robert Altman, Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino.

Fatal Attraction, starts off slow but Glenn Close is frankly terrifying towards the end.

The original ('A Tale of Two Sisters') is much better.

    The Jacket is really good
It stars Adrien Brody and Keira Knightley
It's fantastic and one of my favourites of that genre
It does leave you feeling "what the hell".

One Hour Photo, Robin Williams is unrecognisable in this pretty creepy thriller. I'm not overly keen on him personally but in this he's a revelation. If you've not seen it do so.
