Brian Arthur Branning if its a boy. I kind of feel like Brian is a bit young and trendy but that may only be the case in the US and not the UK. Since Stacey and Martin aren't married, I'd assume that her name would be the name they use on the birth certificate.
If its a girl, then Brianna Pauline Branning. If they do get married before the birth of the child, then replace Branning with Fowler.
I think it's a US difference. I've see some American friends on Facebook announcing a couple of baby names that would only seem to belong to middle aged men in the UK.
Re the surname thing, all my friends who have had babies on the wrong side of the sheets have given them the father's surname. Apart from one, where the father didn't want to know, which is fair enough I reckon.
