The fact Corrie won a BAFTA is the biggest Suspension of Reality....ever!!
Exactly, and I doubt SB will get the boot now, even though he's ground the show into the dirt.

I wasn't paying too much attention (as per these days) but if Mary's camper van was put onto a low loader, wouldn't they have needed to drive it on, therefore would need the keys?

If it was just towed, wouldn't they need to remove the handbrake?

I doubt it was lifted on as that would take a lot longer than the 30 seconds it actually did take.

    This ^^^^^

A motor home of that size because of its height would need a specialist heavy recovery vehicle to lift it.

It didn't look safe on that low-loader and I suspect the only real "safe" way to move it would be to lift the front wheels onto an A-frame or dolly as they do to recover HGV's/LGV's

Looks like they just used the low loader they use for driving scenes, quite a dangerous thing to do really

    Saying that

That to me looks as if it would be unstable and top heavy, and I wouldn't want to drive it.
Bet in anything but a slight cross breeze you'd need a change of underwear :D

The SOR is that the caravan would need to be driven onto the low loader, so how could they have done that without the keys, which I assume were in Mary's possession?

I think that, if it was more of an "emergency" situation, it would be possible to simply drag the vehicle onto the recovery truck (I've seen this done - doesn't do a lot of good to the tyres!) and if there was a little more time, then they could release the handbrake from underneath to make it easier. Of course, if it had been left in gear (or an auto in "Park") then they'd be back to dragging again.

    This^^^

This win makes a joke of the BAFTAS.

Everyone has their own personal preferences but surely this award is down to quality. Poor SLs, dreadful acting and very low production values etc. and yet Corrie wins a BAFTA. Some may not like EE but it is definitely superior in all aspects of quality compared to Corrie. Even the small bits I see of Emmerdale are better acted and produced than Corrie.

    BAFTA has lost credibility. :o

... and this serves to validate the farce that the programme's become and doomed us to more of the same (but plenty of material for this thread!).

The article is riddled with spoilers, in case anyone is trying to avoid. :)

I don't see why Julie couldn't just have offered Mary the use of her empty flat for a while. And why is Mary bleating on about losing her home. If she hadn't happened to win the motor home she would have had to find a flat, just like anyone else. She must earn a reasonable amount from working as Dev's nanny.

The opening scene tonight showed Sean in the back room of the Rovers. In the next scene he was back at Eileen's eating his breakfast!

I might be wrong because I don't follow football, but isn't the team that Kevin called "Keltic" pronounced "Seltik"?

Would the Bishop really turn up for a bring and buy sale? Surely they are busy people, with better things to do.

Sean and Julie at the bring and buy. What is the factory closed today?

There are more holes in the Corrie scripts than in Rab C Nesbitts string vest
