Corrie fans are finally going to meet Carla Connor’s long lost brother, when he arrives on the cobbles this summer. He's set to turn heads and break hearts as the new moody bad lad of the Street.

Corrie are currently auditioning actors for the coveted role, and the newest additon to the Connor clan is set to ruffle a few feathers when he arrives later this year to give his sister a hand with running the factory.

So exciting!! I've been waiting for Carla's brother to arrive, should be a great new addition to the Street!

    Just read that article. Jeez...I've been watching Corrie since I was knee height to a grasshopper, and for some reason I have never heard Carla mention a brother...

    Could be because anytime she opens her mouth I switch off, have no idea why but the sound of her voice gets on my nerves...as with Sallys.

    So anyway...new badboy/womaniser? In for the long haul then if he's coming to run the factory. :)

    New eyecandy for us ladies :D

    As far as I know, Darren was never detailed much in the show, he was kinda mentioned on Carla's ITV.com profile, he was doing time for armed robbery

    There has been quite a few Darren mentions over the years, doesn't seem like they get on!

    It would be good if he had incestrious crush on Carla and became obssesd with her!...Would be a good storyline for Corrie

    We'll hopefully see another side to Tommy when Terry returns. Chris Fountain is a good actor. He'll hopefully show a more vulnerable side when he must deal with reuniting with the father who sold him

    I think the actor should have dark black hair like Carla- ironically, someone like Rob James Collier (Liam) would have been perfect in looks I reckon.

    I think Will Mellor is a good shout, have also heard Richard Armitage be mentioned. Jamie from Shameless is a good shout too, or Tom Chambers perhaps?

    We also may finally find out Carla's maiden name! ITV listed him as an addition to the Connor clan, but techincally he isn't a Connor! Us lot seem to know more than ITV about Darren! :cool:

    Tom Chambers strikes me as a bit too middle-class for Darren, but I would love to be proved wrong. :D
