This yes! Also in The West Wing when Leo dies and Annabeth has to tell Josh when he gets to the hospital. Plus the funeral episode the week after, even more poignant when you know that the tears were real and for John Spencer himself.
    .

Yeah that always makes me cry as well

Anything Leo connected in the West Wing. 'Bartlett for president' moment had me welling up and then finally the heart attack/recovery. I found the heart attack scene hard going as we watched a great man walk alone in despair in the woods, clearly unwell having the onset of a major heart attack.

It's the way that he gets up after the first wave and stumbles defiantly on, only for the second wave to crush him.

    That was so sad.

Frosts funeral in Rizzoli and Isles, as the actor Lee Thompson Young had died for real, having committed suicide.

Episode 'The Son' from Friday Night Lights. It was everything. The tension in the air from the moment Matt walks in through Coach Taylor's front door to Matt being so polite when he's having his breakdown to the funeral scene which ended with him shovelling with blood on his hands. It really broke my heart. It was beautifully written and was one of the best TV moments I've seen.

Early Doors. Ken had heard that his step daughter had arranged to meet her real father. The music was " For the Good times". He walked slowly to his bedroom and then broke down in tears.

The final scenes of both endings to Prison Break.

The tune "Lay it down low" was such a sad song and after the 4 seasons of suspense it was all let out.

    Absolutely.

I was always really worried during the early seasons as I kept thinking Joyce would be killed off but when it actually happened it was heart breaking :(
