Good for her, she's doing what she wants to do. Also, if she wrote a song, she should get paid for it whether people think it's rubbish or not. It's something she has taken the time to write, therefore she should receive royalties just like any other artist when their song is sung.
Lucy is absolutely right and I understand and support her demand to receive a share of the profits. Just think about this:
All the other acts are singing cover songs. Lucy is singing her own material, her own work. She should get paid for it. Imagine if she sung "Tea and Toast" on the live shows... It'd sell really well on I-tunes, and she wouldn't get paid?? It'd better for her to quit the show and release it by herself, she'd make a lot of money and possibly launch her career.
If being on the show prevents her from gaining more money for the songs she wrote herself, then she should quit. She can release them on I-Tunes without the show and actually profit from her work.
I'm not keen on her to be honest. She shouldn't have entered the show if she felt that way about things - has she not seen the show before? It's all cover versions!
Not buying it considering she'd done her fair share of covers before the show actually started as well.
Though if she did say she wanted to be payed for the songs she'd written that are selling on itunes, I don't see how anyone could argue that's unjustified.
Because there is never any smoke without fire. Plus the Judges seem to reinforce these stories in their comments, especially Louis i.e his criticising of Chirs of working on a cruiseship (which he did) or when they mention this paper ahs said this etc. Or even showing Lucy and Rylan being thrown out of the hotel. These were all alleged in a paper but commented on by Judges.
it worries me that there are people in the world who believe in that

It's Monday.... this means there has to be a load of rubbish about contestant(s) in the tabloids. It's sadly indicative of how tedious the weekend's proceedings were - the "Monday shock/horror tabloid scoop" is producers' way of drawing a line under the weekend and moving on towards next show on Saturday. I bet they have the headlines written already for the next 3 Mondays.....
I think her main goal was to get self promotion from the show. And as everyone knows you don't have to be an X Factor winner to become a successful artist.
I have a feeling the producers have been waiting to drop this bombshell for a while but they are waiting for the right time.
It will be week 6. This week she'll be hailed as the second coming during her big come back. Otherwise I think Saturday gone would have been the week she was labelled the one trick pony.
As much as I like Lucy I don't think she's thick and for another thing am pretty much sure that every contestant is gave a contract when they know they've made it to the live shows that tell them what they're getting into. If she were a gigging musician before surely she would have known these clauses before going in head first???

Perhaps she could support Victoria Wood on her next tour/programme
He was just one of three who voted against her
I can't imagine why you would think that comparing someone to Gilbert and Sullivan is an insult!

If she is not getting royalties for her own work them the X Factor are wrong.
She is my favourite an I think she will be fine maybe even better off without the X factor. It has give. Her the spring board she needed.
It was her decision to do her own songs.

that would tempt me to tune back in
no one is stopping you
Try telling that to Christopher Jefferies.
