Was just reading on battlefield forums that folk who bought Premium cant download the close quarters, so not surprised as to lack of comments LOL
Looks like I'll give CQ a miss and just wait for Armoured kill and buy that.
Close quarters isnt battlefield anyway, its more COD.
Not really, Special Focres for BF2 was all about infantry based combat instead of vehicle based combat so Close Quarters isn't a new concept to the BF franchise.
No idea if I will pick it (Close Quarters) or BF Premium up though. I stopped playing BF3 after the last patch was released. I can't let one title dominate my gaming life anymore. I did that with Unreal Tournament (99-2004) and Counter-Strike: Source and never got to play more than half of my game catalog.
I may get Close Quarters just for some new maps and weapons but I'm not sure Premium is worth it. We only know for certain the 2 of the DLC packs are multiplayer, the rest of it may just be just be co-op or single player expansions which doesn't interest me in the slightest.

Each DLC boasts "new maps" with motorcycles and "classic maps" in Endgame. It's Aftermath I'm not sure about. Huge battles in a ruined city - the aftermath of the earthquakes. Could be co-op?
Anyone on premium downloaded the close quarters maps on 360 yet? Checked at lunch but they weren't available yet.
I do think Battlefield is reaching out to CoD players with this but it will be a change of pace I guess. I will have to remove my ACOG x4 scope from my F2000 now!
I've got Premium on the 360. Didn't have to download the maps. Soon as I went online with they game they announced that they were unlocked for my account.
I'm enjoying Close Quarters so far. I heard the maps weren't as destructive as should in trailer but they seem to be falling apart with all the weapons fire.
The thing I like about Battlefield is how much variety in all the maps. They are much better maps than anything in MW3 team has designed recently.
Decided to get Premium on PS3 yesterday as I had loads of store credit with Gamestation so got a PSN card. It's cheaper than buying the DLC separately so I figured I may as well go for it.
Just played a bit of Gun Master so far which is a lot of fun. Can be difficult if you're rubbish with pistols though.:D
I like it. I've always been more of a fan of big vehicle maps but I'm still enjoying this quite a bit. Gun Master is a great addition and quite addictive.
The new weapons are nice too and the assignments for most of them are pretty straight forward. I think I'm gonna struggle to get the EOD bot kill needed unlock the MTAR-21 though.:(
I do want Premium but have a couple of stumbling points
My first is with the whole, I already own B2K ordeal and do feel they should even sell it for £35 to owners of that.
My second is that I dont think we know what "Aftermath" and "End game" are. I mean they might not even be multiplayer packs. They could be single players missions etc. of which I wouldnt be interested.

I had the same reservations as you but I get the impression that End Game and Aftermath are multiplayer packs after looking at the descriptions here: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/premium/
They all have 4 new maps, vehicles and weapons so I think it's very likely they're gonna be multiplayer.:)
Close Quarters is essentially MW3 but with destruction in my opinion. I caved and bought it.
It now gives you the choice if you want a fast paced game then play on that (like COD) or slower tactical then play the other non CQ maps. Its good in its own right. It is VERY fast paced.
The gun game is quite good too, though obviously also copied from other games.
Three of the four maps are a lot bigger than I expected them to be - but they're obviously tightly packed. But most importantly, they could be real locations. It can still get pretty hectic, but I'm yet to get frustrated by it (unlike another popular FPS title) because of how much fun I'm still having
Also, gun master is a lot of fun and can feel very rewarding - like it's alternate game counterparts.
I havent played a Battlefield game since Battlefield 1942 on the PC, which I really liked.
Would I like Battlefield 3, or have they changed it too much?
Quite a leap, but the concept is pretty much the same Four classes instead of five (Medic integrated in to Assault. Anti-Tank integrated in to Engineer. Scout renamed to Recon.) Tanks, helicopters, boats and jets. Conquest w/ tickets. Oh and it's very pretty.

Cheers, the few vids I've seen made me think that. The level design looks awesome.
They should introduce a rating system for servers, got 'ragekicked' twice this weekend by our European cousins, did not break one of their endless list of rules.

Looking forward to playing the gunmaster mode, looks fun.
