Since I got a DAB radio I mainly just listened on there, so when I switched it to FM and decided to use this list I was shocked at actually how much choice (and how many pirates) there is!
Sunshine on 106.2 comes in good in most of south Birmingham. I still think the count of stations - big or small - in Birmingham is low compared to Manchester and London.

Ive given up with my DAB. Come August/Sept when MXR goes, all it will leave me with is the BBC national stations and Digital1. I cant even get Radio WM on it despite living within the stations coverage area.
Unfortunately I can't switch to FM on my pocket DAB radio, as I recently dropped it on the floor, so now I don't have a display on it to be able to navigate to FM (and back to DAB) Otherwise, I'd give this list a good try, as I'm in central Birmingham.
Isn't there an FM transmitter at Pye Green near Cannock?
Wasn't there a version of Signal 1 on there? (96.9?)
I think last time I tried for that one, I couldn't get that one either, even though I'm down the road!
Years ago I remember getting Radio Derby on 104.5, but it got swamped by BBC H & W on 104.6.
102.6 is the main Signal transmitter serving the Potteries from Alsagers Bank. 96.9 is for the Stafford area from Pye Green. quite weak compared to the 102.6 one which is a big signal apart from around here where it is swamped between Touch and Capital. It was easy to get here before Touch opened. Stoke DAB is non existent but I'm only 8 miles east of Uttoxeter.
Had another fiddle with a set of 'rabbit ears' & I seem to be getting The Bridge from Stourbridge up here in Bloxwich on 102.5, at the expense of Signal on 102.6.
Might try that at work in Great Bridge.(Anyone know Apex 2?)
I'm near the M6, it's not completely clear but its certainly audible.
Both 'Signal 1' (102.6) and BCMR (87.6) BOTH very listenable within the M6 region.... from spaghetti junction (Birmingham) northwards. (note BCMR are only operational of an evening) - but Signal 1 are most definitely listenable around that area....and beyond.
The 'only' station of which would knock out 'Signal 1' - is 'The Bridge' from Briely Hill (near Dudley) on 102.5.

I am not a million miles from you....and all I can get is 'Signal 1' - no chance of 'The Bridge'....

You must be in flats then.
Nope house at the bottom of a hill by Arbo. V Slight hiss on stereo at times but nothing that stops listening...
40db and full RDS on tuner. £4 "rabbit ears" indoor ariel off market
Westy - you have PM.
Steve
Better than what I can get. Most of the out of area stations have a slight hiss and none of them get RDS here.
Radio WM has hiss here!!
Freeview "lite" (and that breaks up)
DAB - BBC National, D1 and MXR Only
Damn hill!! lol
Cheers, Ill have a look at that on my laptop later!
Had a listen finally.
Where is 102.6 located?

Mind you, the radio has seen better days, plus we're surrounded by buildings!
