I have emailed Nick Sloane, ITVs director of sports and he has comfirmed that the press release is out on Tuesday.

Also I asked "Are you showing any international friendlies on ITV4 prior to the tournament (non-england)".
The reply I recieved was "Peru, Honduras, Ecuador"

He obviously misunderstood you (or chose to ignore your question). Those are the teams England are playing in the build up. They'll be on ITV.

...perhaps if you'd got his name right.

I saw Richard Keys say on twitter that Glenn Hoddle would be part of the BeIn Sport team (?) for the World Cup. I wonder how he'll combine that with ITV? Will he just be doing England games for ITV? I hope not!

Glenn's doing lots of other games for ITV. Most games will have two or three guests, and there are at least eight guests being rotated. As Bein's studio is right next door it won't be hard to work on both channels, even for matches in the same day.

Presumably that means ITV will be in the Copacabana complex, same as the BBC?

Will this be the first time their studios have more or less the same view?

So Hoddle, Dixon, Wright, Keane, Viera and Strachan will probably be six of those - still hoping for Martin O'Neill!

Here's the BBC's first World Cup trailer. There will be a series of trailers with the story continuing as the tournament gets closer:

Juninho is joining the BBC as a pundit.

And, apologies if they have been posted already, details of the host broadcasting camera positions

Expect mass confusion as Andros Townsend is confirmed as a pundit for ITV, presumably alongside Andy Townsend as a co-commentator. Ian Wright, Lee Dixon, Roy Keane, Gordon Strachan and Gus Poyet also confirmed as is Adrian Chilles, obviously. https://twitter.com/itvfootball

I don't like Keane, Strachan or Wright (particularly the last 2)

Townsend is a current player, is he going to criticise anyone? I'll reserve judgement on him

    Poyet & Dixon are fine

    No word on co-comms yet

ITV's punditry line-up includes (may not be a complete list):
    Fabio Cannavaro
    Gus Poyet
    Andros Townsend
    Roy Keane
    Patrick Vieira
    Glenn Hoddle
    Lee Dixon
    Ian Wright
    Gordon Strachan
    Martin O'Neill

i like Poyet, with Townsend being a pundit, a player is not going to criticise another player, not going to happen

Very strange that they're seemingly only taking two commentary teams to Brazil.

Off tube for ITV on a WC is a bit disappointing IMO

I wonder if the studio pundits will also be co-comms for off tube games?

It's still not a great line up but Cannavaro could be interesting

Aren't ITV going to be based in Rio? If so that rules out pundits as co-comms as I'm guessing that the off tubing will be done from UK?

ITV could charge up to £300k for ads during England's World Cup matches

Well, it's certainly not the first time either the Beeb or ITV have used a current player in their line-ups, ITV had Gary Neville in 2002, who had missed out through injury, and Gareth Southgate in 2006, while the Beeb used Jamie Redknapp in 2002 when he was still just about an England player. Even Jamie Carragher had only recently retired from England duty in 2012 and he was a very good, impartial pundit (just ask Andriy Voronin).

No difference to when Sky get in injured players for Premier League matches.
