Really? Johnny, although very rude to Linda is taking responsibility for his failure in his exams, and trying to remedy it by resitting them. Linda, instead of supporting this, intervened in an area she ought not to, even if she had good intentions. In order for kids to grow up you have to let them take responsibility for their actions - it was incredibly inappropriate for Linda to go and insinuate that Johnny's tutor wasn't good at his job and had not marked his exams properly - that kind of intervention could have potentially affected Johnny's relationship with his tutor.
