I thought Community HD might cease, but then why would CH4+1 be on LCN 110 and not take 109 instead, as it would be available?
I really hope not. I watch far more on the Community channel HD than I would on a repeat channel and repeat of that repeat channel.

Also, that mux has recently been running anything up to 70% null packets. Easily enough to add two channels.

I think they'll keep Community HD, after all the idea of the mux is to provide as much incentive as possible to move to HD boxes, if the mux is not full, the more the better.

As I said before, I doubt they would immediately release a vacant LCN to a completely unrelated channel.

Freeview changes usually occur 10:30am - midday, unlike DAB where changes do happen at midnight.

Think I'm stuck in DAB mode. This will give me something to do tomorrow when I get home at least. :D Yes I'm that sad, where's all of my cats gone?

Things are starting to happen at Crystal Palace! Is that 5*?

The bitrates of the existing channels seem to have gone down already

    http://en.digitalbitrate.com/dtv.php?liste=1&live=9&lang=en&mux=COM7

Although you can never be sure because there is always a lot of variation on the HD multiplexes

You mean there is/was a HD test showing 5*? Hmmm...

Afraid not. So far 3 untitled (additional) streams:

    C4+1 HD
    4 7 HD
    5* SD

Really weird that 5* is on there unless they are planning to jump ship from COM5(? I think?) To save money.

Are you sure it's not 5*+1? Why would they move 5* to COM7?

COM7 has less coverage than the rest of Freeview, so why would Channel 5 choose to put 5* on there instead of where it currently is where it gets much more potential viewers? Unless of course it's a test for something else and they are just using 5*'s signal for now?

I get COM7 from Wenvoe on UHF Channel 31, and C4+1 HD, 4 7 HD and 5* SD have not started yet, just the 6 channels that are already on there.

Could it be Jewellery Maker full time? That would make sense since they recently obtained a licence.

So that'd be 6 HD and two SD channels on the mux then! :o

I'm guessing it's just some testing as it's untitled. It's the same video as 5* (some jewellery nonsense). I'm not a typical viewer so it's possibly also broadcast on another channel.

    Edit:

    Makes sense.

I checked Radio Times to see when it changes from Jewellery Maker to 5*. We should know in 40 mins.

It's currently a teleshopping REPEAT. Who is that aimed at?

So will this mean 5* will increase broadcasting hours now, or will we still be subjected to tellyshopping until mid-day every day?

I hope retailers have ordered in extra T2 equipment to cope with the surge! :D
