    It's not always the approaching that women might object to. Although some certainly will.
    It's the intent and attitude behind it.

    He is asking the wrong question though too...

    It should be "how you do feel about guys approaching every good looking girl they see down the street and badgering them for a phone number? Are you flattered by that?"

    That would be a much more relevant question.

    Aye, also if you go up to pretty much anyone and say that you are making a documentary then you're not going to get the kind of response or opinion as you would if you would if you were to actually do as he does normally.

    You can see the cogs turning in some of their replies, there will be an element of not wanting to sound like an ass and stuff.

    OP, do you think their reaction might be a bit different if he told them that he often makes a point of approaching women he finds unattractive just to "keep his hand in", or whatever it is?
