Currency problem.

I run windows 8.1 and, until I installed some apps - since uninstalled - my currency was pound sterling. Now it has converted to the euro, in emails, web pages, everything. I will find out the problem, eventually, but can anyone help speed it up? I am using google chrome.

    I’ve never needed to change mine but having a quick look in W8.1 try this procedure.

    Control Panel>Clock, Language and Region>Change date, time, number formats>Additional settings>Currency’s>Currency symbol.

    Change the Euro to Pounds.

    Hope it works for you.

    Already done it, currency was never set to the euro, always the £. So I know this isn't the cause. I work with computers, and find this quite frustrating, that I can't fix it.
