'Addicted to Love' - The Song of Death

Wagner sang it this year and ended up in the bottom 2.

Kandy Rain did the same last year.

Coincidently Louis was both of their mentor.

I think this just adds fuel to the conspiracy that X-Factor did everything the possibly could last week to get rid of Wagner.

Or more likely, along with Kandy Rain, just them being girl groups put them in the bottom 2 :D. Don't think the songs were really a factor in any case.

Are you seriously telling us that song choice was important for Wagner to get votes ?

His support just wasn't as solid as the ardent supporters on here would like to believe. It was his time.

Too right. I don't know why they don't use Bachman Turner Overdrive's "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" when they want to get rid of a troublesome contestant. That would stitch them up a treat.

It doesn't have as bad a record as Feeling Good.

You can add Mr Bojangles to that song of death list.

I've always hated the song. It just never seems to go anywhere.

Yes- during the Over the Rainbow series, a new verb was coined: To "Bojangle" is to give a contestant a song that has a reliable track record of landing contestants in the bottom two, for the purpose of eliminating them.

Good King Wagner was Bojangled alright

And the birds go tweet? As soon as they announced Wagner was on first we knew this was the week they were going to get rid of him, surely?

Ken Bruce is playing it now - do you think it is a tribute to Wagner?

Ecaxtly, it seems like they sing the same line like 10 times over.

Everyone associates it with the advert.

Judges really don't want to take any chances, total manipulation
