The fact i had told you this HM, is why i am suprised at why you have turned on me. I do believe personal issues of mine have been used against me by all three of you. We got BT Infinity. Somebody came out to install it but didn't do it properly so the speed of our internet hasn't changed. We've just spent nearly an hour on the phone to a lady at BT and the problem still hasn't been resolved. I could barely understand what she was saying. It also didn't sound as if she knew what she was talking about, there was lots of shuffling of papers. We're going to be having somebody call us tomorrow to see if they can help and if not then we are going to have an engineer sent out.

I've read a lot about it as I'm an IT lawyer (well sort of) ;-) This censorship thing is pretty dangerous. I read a lot of legit websites got blocked because of it. That's an interesting one. If he backed up his apps to his computer, they'll still be on it but if I'm not sure if they would still be usable if you set up another Apple ID. Alternatively you could try and reset his password. In the worst case scenario he should go to the Apple store and get a Genius to help. Not sure if that'll help but I don't know a lot about iPhones since I have an Android phone and tablet
A lot of people think that a Mac user like me should have an iPhone/iPad but I can't afford them and I prefer Android to Apple iOS anyway. I love my Macs though I have yet to find any Windows laptops as good as Macbooks and anyway I hate Windows 8.

I always have been anti censorship. I believe in free speech. The UK is a democratic society and this filter could be a threat to freedom of expression, but the Nanny Government tell us it's for our own good as it supposedly protects children when all it does is censor things. In a few years time the internet in the UK could end up like China's. I worry about the future of the internet. I worry that it's gonna become a walled garden controlled by governments and large corporations (eg Facebook and the entertainment industry). It goes completely against Tim Berners Lee's original idea of the world wide web. It's dangerous IMO.

Ultimately, though, attempts to control the Internet will fail as we move towards a more decentralised Internet which is next to impossible to control. I look forward to that day.

It's not just governments though, it's corporations as well. The entertainment industry are controlling things by geoblocking certain online streaming services. I can't even watch BBC iPlayer here in Ireland yet I can get all the BBC channels on cable and satellite TV! Facebook are also trying to create a walled garden by encouraging users to do everything through FB rather than the wider internet, sorta like a modern day version of the AOL Portal. It's one reason I stay away from Facebook and other social media. The whole original idea of the world wide web was that it was decentralised and not owned or controlled by anyone and what we have now is going against that.
