Dave Myers isn't a trained chef, he just sat on an eclair in Chicago.

Topaz, what are the causal viewers going to refer Dave as?
"Oh Mary what did you think of that cook Dave Myers on Strictly? That rumba was fierce"

    Or

"Oh Mary, what did you think about cook Dave on Strictly? That rumba was fierce"

There you go altered post to simplify it for you ;)

You honestly think the causal viewers will say Cook rather than chef?

    I'm with this.

I used the word chef (at half six in the morning yesterday), because, perhaps foolishly, I just saw "works with food"= chef.

I didn't think it would spark the DS Mass Debate!

In other news, Fiona Fullerton hasn't acted since 2001.
    Retro!

I think Fiona and Robin would be quite a nice partnership, but I want to see him with someone that's not primarily an actress.

IF Anneka is in the line-up I want her with Anton, as it's been a while since we've seen him with someone who has actual potential, and I think it'd be quite a nice partnership.

I'd like Robin to get a young contender - the equivalent of a Chelsie or Kara - I know he's not popular on here but I want to see what he can do with one.

I wouldn't mind if Anton got Abbey Clancey as I'm not keen on either of them.

I don't think it'll happen but I wouldn't mind Artem gettting another older celeb to see if he could cope with it more graciously than he did last time! Either that or give him a celeb without much dance ability/natural rhythm a la Pendleton, Kate Garroway.

I'll admit I'm biased in favour of Pasha so I wouldn't mind if he gets another ringer :D but I don't think it'll happen so I just hope he gets someone who works hard and he can have great time with :)

Somehow I have a gut feeling that Martine McCucheon may show her face this year? This years Dvo equivalent.

Well she needs the money after losing the yogurt adverts and going bankrupt.

Fiona Fullerton played Alice in Wonderland in a british movie in the early '70's.

Apart from Angels and a cough and a spit in a Bond film she has done naff-all since - and as someone has posted, has not worked since 2001, and that was only a one-off in a movie - so may have been a favour for a friend.

Yes those viewers that know the difference - he's not a 'chef' and he doesn't claim to be one - he's a cooking enthusiast aka a cook - just as easy to say and remember - it's not rocket science. I know quite a few people who like Nigella - nobody I know refers to her as a 'chef'.

I wouldn't say that's the case Steve. In her younger days Fiona was imo exquisitely beautiful - look at images of her through google. I remember seeing her in quite a few dramas on the box in the 80s - I think I remember seeing her in a commercial too. I think she may have taken a break from acting to pursue other interests and have a family but I don't think it's fair to say she's done 'naff all'. I've no idea what she's like though only seen her through her work.

If she is in the line up it'll be nice to see her as a personality.

If her wiki link is anything to go by I am surprised Fiona Fullerton has agreed to do SCD... hmm...

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiona_Fullerton

ETA... unless just for the fun of it... as she seems far removed from the media scene now... :)... I would be happy though... quite a looker... :)

Had a bash at doing a complete line-up using the rumours and some of my own suggestions (what can I say, it's a rainy Sunday!)

Tony Jacklin CBE, 69, Golfer (with Karen)
Dave Myers, 55, Hairy Biker (with Kristina)
Jon Culshaw, 45, Comedy Impressionist (with Ola)
Alex Walkinshaw, 38, Actor (with Natalie)
Matt Johnson, 30, TV Presenter (with Emma)
Ricky Norwood, 24, EastEnders Actor (with Iveta)
Jonnie Peacock MBE, 20, Paralympian (with Janette)

Fiona Fullerton, 56, Actress (with Artem)
Anneka Rice, 54, TV Presenter (with Anton)
Teri Hatcher, 48, Hollywood Actress (with James)
Susanna Reid, 42, BBC Breakfast Presenter (with Robin)
Abbey Clancy, 27, Model (with Brendan)
Rebecca Adlington OBE, 24, Olympic Swimmer (with Alzaj)
Dionne Bromfield, 17, Soul Singer & CBBC Presenter
    (with Pasha)

Nigella is known as a 'tv chef' so if we categorise Dave as a 'tv chef' as well then everyone should be happy :)

I thought I'd play it safe!

I toyed with "beard botherer" and "chief tin opener" before I settled.

From looking at her website she's heavily into property investments, buy to let etc these days - might be looking to get back into acting/media spotlight again.

Stunningly beautiful back in the day, doesn't look too bad in more recent photos I've seen either.

One article lazily put together means Nigella is a tv chef? Maybe to you it does but to me it doesn't.I see Gregg Wallace is included in that and I've rarely seen him cook on screen - even when he used to present Saturday Ktichen he didn't cook that much - he just gobbles down food other people have cooked.

All likely bar the ones in bold.

They wouldn't risk Carol Thatcher after the One Show scandal, Tulisa would be a PR disaster, Jessica Ennis is injured (although something inside me thinks she could be a factor in them alledgedly turning down Adlington) and David Tennant is way too busy.

    Others are all plausible though!
