Well, if you don't, tough.
Devs on Steam can now put their game on sale any time they like, with 2 months notice.
This will probably see the end of weeklong, daily, midweek and weekend sales. The big Summer and Winter Sales I think will be unaffected, they pull in too much attention for them to be removed just yet.
