I absolutely loved this book! I couldn't put it down - I thought it was so interesting to read something about the resistance to the Nazi regime in Germany - you don't really hear too much about that. When I was studying that period in history I don't remember any mention of German resistance and I think it's important!
Also - I love Frankenstein too! So much symbolism and layers to unravel. I found it fascinating and have read it multiple times now. I agree, it's a shame that the story has become so distorted.
I've just finished Musicophilia by Oliver Sacks - really interesting although I couldn't read big chunks of it in one go.
The thread, Victoria Hislop. Someone recommended it on here, can't remember who now! Only 70 pages in but really enjoying it

I,m onto Maybe this Time, jennifer Crusie (light chick lit with a bit of a ghost story) and Joseph Connolly The Whisperers ( much darker gothic horror type)
I don't get what all the hype with 50 Shades Of Grey is, thugs and chavs in my school year are actually asking people if they can borrow it even though they would never usually touch a book, its absolutly pathetic, just because its basically porn in paper form. :sleep:
But it's getting people reading! Perhaps these people will go onto read more quality literature?
Finished book 2 of the Rainwild Chronicles and having read it so quickly want to save reading book 3 for while.
Downloaded Les Miserables to my Kindle. However finding it very hard going, cannot get into at all. Maybe it's just me as all the reviews I've read are glowing! Is it worth continuing? Might give it one more try tonight, it's certainly helping me fall asleep.... Feeling a bit disappointed in myself that I cannot get into this so called classic novel!
Alternatively might just give into temptation and download A Song of Ice & Fire so I can continue my re-read of that series on the Kindle.
Loved that book, I haven't read a Stephen King for years I must read one soon probably loads to choose from by now.
I have just finished The Cambridge list by Robert clear I really enjoyed it but it lost it's way a bit towards the end.
Going Postal - Pratchett. I'm miles behind on my Discworld at the moment.
A 2nd attempt having stopped commuting on the train I put it down. Spent a good part of last weekend reading from the start whilst watching part 1 of it on Sky.

Been toying with reading it for years and decided to just go for it now!
It's an end of the world story, only read about 10% but really good so far.
I re read this for about the 5th time this year. One of my all time faves.
Currently reading Cold Light by John Harvey.

Not seen the film. Going to watch after I've read the book. The book is huge, around 1400 pages!!
That's in my queue but the fact it's so long is putting me off!
