FIFA 12 - What do you propose should be done to deal with early quitters?

FIFA 10 and FIFA 11 rewarded users who left early by giving them an achievement/trophy. It's very annoying when a player leaves early when they're losing so any ideas of what EA Sports should do to deal with it? It's putting of a lot of people off playing ranked matches

Ban players with a 40%+ DNF.
Failing that, flamethrower.
i think that ea make people with the same dnf play with each other.
Back to quitters anyway. I've always thought it would be good if they are locked out of playing online for a certain amount of time after they quit. Nothing too dramatic just an hour or 30 min or summat like that. Would make them think twice about quitting I'm sure.
Yeah, I think banning them for 30 minutes or so after 3 or 4 consecutive quits would be a decent way of going after the quitters. I'd make really high DNFers play one another too. Maybe 20% or higher.
I agree on high DNFers being made to play one another too.
Also a wall of shame would be a good idea.
Another idea use a matching system say someone with a 40%dnf rate would only be matched with someone else with 40%dnf ect...
Btw when someone quits...why EA doesn't then ACTUALLY give you the 3 nil win and show the screen that comes up at the end of the match so you can see your points and rank adding up..ill never know.
Really? Does it not annoy you when people quit?
I'd add the 5 goal deduction in addition to the score at the time the player quit.
For example, if he quit when he was losing 4-0, the final score would be 9-0. Plus, the quitter would not be able to play a new match for the same period of time that the original game would have lasted.
Great idea
Although the time thing wouldnt affect the "after the final whistle" quitters that annoy me! I'm not sure why they annoy me so much but they do
I only play Fifa Ultimate Team and last night alone, I was cut off from the servers 4 times in a hour. When playing Ultimate Team you get more coins , the less you quit, which stops people quitting, but when the servers kick you off, they treat this as a DNF, and it really pisses me off.
It will take me 30 odd games now (if the servers do not kick me off ) to get my DNF back up to 1.25 on UT.
It is only EA servers I have problems with too. Joke service and has been for as long as I can remember.
I like the idea of actually rewarding the non quitter double points while reducing the quitter to zero. then as others have suggested, making those with a high dnf play each other.
If not maybe add that, so you can fairly beat them to it
it has nothing to do with my connection. all my other games work properly online. its the ea servers
Something else i was wondering is are EA Sports able to distinguish between a player leaving and a player being d/c? Because if they are and EA put up a system to punish those that chose to leave the game early, i assume the quitters could just restart their consoles or go to the dashboard and make it seem like they hadn't left by choice. Bottom line is the quitters are annoying
I approve of this
At least if someone quits early they give you the win (on PC anyway), its the people who don't actually quit at all and refuse to play who annoy me. If they're losing by any great scoreline they don't play anymore, then refuse to select an option at the rematch screen at the end, the 15 seconds elapses and the game gets stuck...then I have to quit and it gives them the win despite me being 3 or 4 nil up!
1. If a player quits, the game continues with A.I. taking over... that way once you win/lose/draw it will be added to your record and will count
2. The player will quits is banned for the duration of the match time remaining with a warning about quitting. The traditional 3-0 lose will be put up against them in red, and people who check their history can view the amount of scorelines in red. Therefore easy to spot quitters
3. Constant quitting results in a 12 hour ban
4. Repeated quitting adds 12 hours on for each ban before getting to the point of a permanent band off the server.
