dropdown menu on website on iPhone issue

I am having an issue with my iPhone when trying to use a website that uses drop down menus. It will let me select an option on all but one of the categories. On the ones that are working it has a downward pointing triangle symbol at the end of the box, but the one that is broken has three dots instead (don't know if that is significant).

I realise I am doing a poor job of explaining, but anyone know what I mean and how to fix it?

    Give us the URL and which option .. And we may be able to see what the issue is

    when I choose a subject and then try to choose an item in the second field, it just reverts back to 0 items.

    When I had a look with my iPhone which is on latest iOS ...
    On the top row I could select a subject say biology from a drop down display
    Which is a cylinder which up spin ,,,
    And the on the row below all the courses came up..
    But some subjects do have no courses....

    Does this help ?

    The courses come up but when I select one and then go back to choose which week for example, the course disappears and I can't get it to stay.

    Am not sure whether it is an issue with the site or with my phone.
