Cain has dragged down Moira's character as much as she's dragged down his. Couples work or fail as a couple because of both the characters involved.

Bad writing and awful Adam related storylines have dragged Moira down.

Hypocrisy is the Dingle way. They're specialists in the business.

Doesn't matter. Irrespective of what any other character has done, the fact is that SimpleWhenItSuitsHimSammeh did leave Charity to die, (and when he was finally forced by Cain to admit what he'd done, he said 'it's probably too late now anyway', thus confirming that what he did was actually attempted murder). >:(

This is just one more thing that he'll get away with without consequence. He's no better than anybody and a lot worse than most. >:(

Totally agree. What Sam did was cold, calculated and he intended to let her die in the most awful of ways. It shows that Sam is capable of murder without thought and could do so to anyone if in his mind he thought they deserved it. And totally without any conscience.

I thought that Cain and Charity were sister and brother, and that is why he is looking out for her. Perhaps I should watch more often.

Oh no, there are cousins and have had an on/off sexual and criminal partnership since they were in their early teens, they're Debbie's parents.

Let's face it, the whole family are as bad as each other just in slightly differing ways.

Cain and Charity have no rights tl lecture anybody but there is no denying that Sam leaving her there amounted to murder and he clearly knew that from his comments the next day. Even Jai had the decency to tell Sam where she was to get her out when he realised he wouldn't be able to release her himself. Not that it is an excuse for kidnapping her in the first place but it does show an element of conscience.

The trouble is that Charity is the type of person that will drive people to unforgivable actions by her own awful behaviour and lack of remorse. For example, I would like somebody to ask her what she would have done if the Police had kept on believing that Sam was the arsonist and just how the incriminating evidence implicating him was planted.

She ruined his life. She took away a wife, a family he could have, was gonna send him to prison or force him to run away from his home and family to live in fear.
Oh well what other way could sammy get his revenge.
If that was you're wife/husband marriage she destroyed you might consider leaving her there for a day or two longer or permanently

Just love Cain and Charity....they are a couple that bring out the best in one another..a shame when script writers try and split them up...leave them alone they were meant to be together.................

Shades of how Sam was when he first appeared on the show. The Dingles weren't always "lovable rogues" but were vicious thugs. They blamed Luke McAllister for killing Ben during a fight when he died of a heart condition and Tina drove him to his death by humiliating him in a farce of a wedding. At least after that, Tina gained a conscious and felt guilty. Sam just snapped at everybody who felt sorry for the McAllisters.

Not even Zak is exempt from Dingle hypocrisy. When Gennie was first revealed to be Shadrach's daughter, he railed at him for cheating on his wife Faith, but Zak had a long-term affair with Faith while she and Shadrach were engaged and let him believe that Cain was his son. And this affair happened while he was married to his first wife Nellie. Also, didn't he have a one-night-stand with a woman while married with Lisa? His dead friend's widow?

I love CAin. And Charity I like her.. I don't care what everyone else says. L got to say ...the people in ED are very believable and real. I compare the characters with those in Corrie...they're totally unbelievable.

I'm no Sam fan but if he'd had the tenacity to stand up to Cain and not spill the beans on Charity's hiding place he'd have become my favourite ED character ever. Unfortunately the awful Charity has been saved and Cain given free reign to terrorise everyone in sight :(

I really wanted Jai to say stuff it to Cain and tell the police everything. It would be worth getting banged up yourself to take some the Dingle down

    Couldn't agree more.

I can't stand Jai, but I would prefer to see him standing up to tiresome Cain.

I'm no Jai fan either and I actually like Cain  but I am sick of this bully boy routine of his and it always working ^_^ He didn't need to threaten Jai as Jai said I won't tell if you don't but Cain's brain cell is just on automatic pilot 'must threaten' 'must threaten'

I kind of hoped Cain had grown up a bit and would recognise how out of order Charity had been with Jai over Archie and just go and talk to him man to man, IE without the play ground bully tactics but he's just reverting to type as ever.

Thankyou, kitkat1971, that makes more sense. I hope they are not going to get back together; I like the Cain/Moira relationship.

You're welcome. Chastity, Sam and Belle are Cain's half siblings (though he and Chas were brought up as full siblings - Cain didn't find out that Zak was his Dad, not his uncle until he was an adult) and we've never met any of Charity's siblings or parents.

I love Cain and Charity. I don't think Charity deserves to die, especially like that. Sam is an evil s**t. I don't care that Charity wrecked his marriage, being left to starve and dehydrate to death is evil. I hope Cain and Charity get back together.

FOR ONCE- I'd just like Charity to eat some humble pie. I'm sick of her always getting away with things. I'm no fan of Jai either but considering all the things Charity does to get her way...other people end up being scapegoats for her need to stay rich or reap revenge!!

I have never really been convinced by the Moira/Cain union, so if this is how they bring Cain and Charity back together- so be it. Let's hope they both run away into the sunset with each other, never to be seen again. >:(

Cain and Chas are also paternal first cousins since their fathers are brothers in addition to maternal half-brother and half-sister. All of Cain's paternal half-siblings (only ones on the show are Sam and Belle, but there are more) are Chas's paternal first cousins and Chas's paternal half-sister Gennie was Cain's first paternal cousin.

Cain and Charity are second cousins; Zak is a first cousin to Charity's father (named Obadiah) so Debbie is her own second cousin once removed.

The best thing to come out of this long, sordid, drawn out Charity storyline is that she & Cain have started interacting again. Their chemistry just sizzles and they hold my total attention in every scene they do - I love it! Love how he came to her rescue, just as I'd hoped! :) I would LOVE them to have an affair and I never usually enjoy affair storylines.

you can't really single those two out... the entire Dingle family are horrible scummy pikeys.

Yes, I'm including Mr Tickle, Boobsonastick and Dobbie.
