  I forgot The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe - the beginning when the mothers are saying goodbye to the evacuees and when Aslan is killed.

  I went to see Watership Down at the pictures when it first came out and it was very sad but I didn't cry. Walking back to the car I suddenly burst into tears and blubbed all the way home.

  The book was sad enough but when I saw it at the cinema I cried most of the way through.
