I think the world would be better off without chewing or bubble gum tbh, due to the problems of it littering pavements and anywhere it can be parked....it's horrible stuff. If all sweets were edible and had to be swallowed the world would be a cleaner place.
However I used to love the gum that was sold in little bags that looked like treasure, called golden nuggets, resembling chunks of mined gold....it was gorgeous! I remember one time getting in trouble when playing an imaginary game with a friend where we pretended the bags of gum were heroin and we were addicts searchng for a fix :eek: Resulted in a hiding
Yes, used to collect them, and I remember the white candy cigs with the red end, which you licked to light! Also sweet tobacco made from coconut and other inappropriare sweets
Crudeness of that sort is pretty boring after the first few minutes, I agree....plus most of the "celebrities" were totally unknown to me and appeared total airheads
