I know it's a bit early for all the Brit Awards hype and stuff. But I thought since as we're already half way through the year, we could start predicting the nominees and winners - Awards are -
British Male
British Female

Put your personal 5 nominees for each award apart from Outstanding Contribution To Music (just put your winner) and British Single (15 nominees), with your winner in capital/ bold letters.

Are our standards so low?
Cue smug backslapping and massive cheers when someone mentions it.
Repeat several times during the night interspersed with shots of Fat Arse Corden and some decent live performances.
I don't think that's you really predicting that Dear Darlin' will win best single, 'Olly Murs Lover'.
Love Me Again - John Newman
Let Her Go - Passenger
La La La - Naughty Boy featuring Sam Smith *WINNER*
Wild - Jessie J featuring Big Sean & Dizzee Rascal
Dear Darlin' - Olly Murs
Waiting All Night - Rudimental featuring Ella Eyre
Pompeii - Bastille
I Need Your Love - Calvin Harris featuring Ellie Goulding
White Noise - Disclosure
What About Us - The Saturdays ft Sean Paul
Need U (100%) Duke Dumont ft AME
*I'd say thats the list so far but obviously there will be alot of releases in the next 6 month
I guess John Newman, Justin Timberlake and 'Blurred Lines'/'Get Lucky' will win most awards.
edit - Best British Single is sales based, meaning the top 15 British selling songs of the year will be nominated. So far The Sats are at #12 but we still have a few months of the year left so doubt they'll get a nomination.

Plus another made up award for Wand Erection.
Apparently there will be a new Icon award. Elton John is lined up to get it.
But Kate bush for outstanding contribution. I am sure she can come out of "performing" retirement and give us a good old medley of "Wuthering Heights/Running up the hill etc. I just want to the see woman perform again before i die. Dramatic i know, but i do.
Agreed.
She has been offered that award in the past, apparently, but she didn't want to perform. Damn it!:D

And I can't take these awards seriously when Emeli Sande beat Plan B for the album category this year.
That is when The Brits officially stooped lower than National TV Awards. Really, even with that horsecrap of an award, Adele was more deserving of a win than One Direction. It was just so that One Direction can win just one award. Realistically, their chance of winning an actual competitive award is almost to none (unless the category is public voted). Best British Single is also a big bloody joke too. Surprised One Direction didn't take home that award. Why don't they just aim lower and inaugurate "Sexiest Award" or "Super Awesome in Your Pants" awards category. It's obvious that The Brits have officially stopped trying.
I just hope the short-list for the critic's choice award is much better. I think this is the first year in a long time where not one new British talent has amazed me. I found the material by Tom Odell and Laura Mvula very disappointing. But all down to opinion.
