It's been said before that when Peter left he had a stairlift stuck in for her .
Supplied and installed for free, presumably, what with them having no money?!! (same as the drinks/meals in the Bistro and Rovers we regularly see them consuming!).
A normal stair lift maybe but i can't imagine (in what must be a tiny staircase given the size of the flat and doorway) there's enough room to get her huge wheelchair up as well

Never heard that! Let's face it, why would Peter go to that expense for someone who wouldn't even be living there? Owen mentioned a week or two ago that he had got the stairlift put in, although no explanation as to how he could afford it, and how it was put in so quickly. Also, where does she leave her big chair when she comes up the stairs, there is no hall at the bottom of the stairs, just a small door that opens on to the street
Doesn't explain how she lugs that wheelchair up the stairs too..
I'm sure it's been mentioned that it's just a basic fold away chair she uses upstairs and not her electric one. Owen pushed her into the sitting room the other week. No idea where they store her normal chair though. Perhaps it's out on the street with a carrier bag over the seat incase it rains or in the Corrie warehouse....
I'd love to see Roy's Bullies nick it and roam the cobbles in it. What a dramatic storyline!

The local hooligans would be off in the chair doing wheelies if she left it in the street
Own or Garry said before that he knew of someone taking a stairlift out of a house and the person had no use for it .
Are you sure about that? Never heard that being said Did they really need a stairlift, it's not as if she lives there, she just visits, wouldn't it be easier for them to visit her? Something else puzzles me about Izzy, how could she manage living on her own with a toddler, not only that she manages to get him to a chilminder in the morning and get to work all without any help or transport In the real world someone like Izzy would probably have a Mobility car, not just going along the street with the kid plonked on her knee all the time, it's just so far fetched.
I think Izzy's ability to live normally on the street requires more suspension of disbelief than the other residents but let's face it, there is an awful lot of that required for everyone and everything that goes on there. I suppose in order to have a disabled character in a soap then that is necessary as otherwise the entire show would have to be devoted to Izzy, just explaining how she gets around, does a job, socialises, looks after her kid etc etc and that would be very dull.
What I don`t understand about Izzy is why she didn`t invite Anna, Owen, etc to her place after Garry left. I`m sure Izzy`s place is much bigger than that tiny flat above the bookies.
Izzy seems to be at the bookies place more than her own place.

Its been said before, the actress suffers with the same condition as the character. She can actually walk but not far and its painful

And up the stairs to the factory? Roys cafe entrance seems quite narrow and awkward as well.

Lol ikr
She really needs to go I'm surprised she's lasted this long, her crying scenes were one of the worst I've ever seen.
There is a disabled entrance.
I don't see any point in the character, and the actress brings nothing to it
Agreed, a totally pointless and depressing character.
