Hi guys I've posted on here about my struggles in my previous job.

I worked in rehab for 14 years and loved every minute of my job until recently as new management came in and took a disliking to me, from one thing to another and loads of false allegations they forced me out. I had applied to work in the nhs months before and was given the job earlier this year .

I have received my contact and will start on Tuesday . I have gone out of the care/ rehab sector and moved into portering on a theatre department.

Does anyone have any tips that will help me settle in the nhs?

Good Luck in your new job. No real tips - just the same as any new job. Be friendly and eager to learn.

As a porter you will have patient contact. Many people in hospital feel anxious and vulnerable. Be aware of that and treat everyone you meet with dignity and respect and you will not go far wrong.

    Best wishes....:)
