    They are no less undemocratic than a party that assumes power with less than half of the votes and less than half of the seats.

    When was the last time any party assumed power with 50+% of the vote?

    But note that the current electoral system was endorsed in a popular referendum.

    Personally I am not that bothered about electoral reform. I will criticise Tory policies till the cows come home but I won't complain about Cameron becoming PM when only a minority of the adult population voted for him. As long of course as the Tories don't complain when Labour governs in similar circumstances.
