I've always had games earlier too but to be fair to Shopto its not something they promise or guarantee, its just an unwritten assumption that you're likely to get it earlier with them than anyone else.

Could totally understand people kicking off if it doesnt turn up on release date tomorrow, just seems a bit OTT to be moaning to the levels some people are on twitter because its not come a day early.

I expect heads exploding if it doesn't turn up tomorrow from ShopTo :D

From what I gathered from what Ash said, if you install both discs to the hard drive it will cause bugs... end of the earth etc. So only install the first disc and keep the second disc in the drive for it to access it whenever needed. Equals noisy drive issues for a lot of folk.

I see, I was unaware of the noisy drive issue (surely that's what the volume switch/headphones are for?!) Is the disk in to play a new thing for consoles? PC gamers have been putting up with it for years!:D

No, not really. The fact NO-ONE who ordered from ShopTo received their game today pretty much proves they actually posted today instead of Saturday. That's what people are annoyed by as it will mean for sure that some people won't get their game tomorrow. To me that's not good enough and certainly not for a game as anticipated as this. We shoudln't have to worry about getting it tomorrow, but I am now.

GTAV ifruit app for apple devices

    https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/id697056811?mt=8&affId=1736887
    Description

How would we survive without apps? Apps can transform your mobile device into essential tools like a harmonica, disco ball or convincing moustache. Somewhere out there is the perfect storm of touchscreen technology to fix everything that’s wrong with your life. And maybe all you’re missing is the iFruit app. Maybe not. At least you’ll have something to keep you entertained while your significant other prattles on endlessly about their day.

iFruit hooks directly into your experience of Grand Theft Auto V with some fun activities to further postpone the need for real social interaction. Keep up-to-date on the latest Grand Theft Auto V news, log into the Rockstar Games Social Club, stay connected on LifeInvader and launch other Rockstar Games apps.

    Los Santos Customs
The Los Santos Customs app offers players the freedom to create their ultimate vehicle in Grand Theft Auto V from anywhere. At the bar, on the beach, on the toilet. This is the future, we’re almost sure of it.

You can even create and reserve custom license plates for both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online – order your personalized plates before they’re gone!

Also choose from paint jobs, window tints, smoke colors, wheels, hoods and spoilers. Upgrade your engine, brakes, exhaust, suspension, and accessorize with new lights, horns, tires and body armor. Place your order on-the-go and find it waiting for you in the garage the next time you play Grand Theft Auto V, or send your order in while playing and get a call from your local mechanic to swing by.

Everybody’s had some work done in Los Santos, so don’t let your ride be the exception to the rule.

    Chop the Dog
Depth of content, high production values, defecation. It’s the app that has it all. Because who doesn’t love tending to a virtual pet? Chop is Franklin’s canine sidekick in Grand Theft Auto V. Look after him well in the “Chop the Dog” app and you will reap the benefits when playing as Franklin in Grand Theft Auto V. Pet him, feed and water him, play fetch and tug-of-war, teach him tricks. Too much or too little of an activity, however, will cause Chop to become unhappy, and nobody likes an unhappy Rottweiler. Take Chop on walks to give him a chance to work off last night’s steak and Piswasser and to mark his turf in the hood - defending his ladies, fending off gang members and even protecting the beach babes of Los Santos from unsightly tan lines by removing their bikinis.

Looking after Chop successfully is reflected in his behavior in Grand Theft Auto V in a number of ways:

•He will be more helpful and responsive to Franklin

•He will perform tricks such as sitting, begging and giving paw if properly trained through the app

•He will sniff out the nearest hidden items when the player takes him for a walk

•Earn enough credits through walks and proper caretaking and exchange them for new collars for Chop

Not received mine from Game today :(, think Amazon will be wishing they had done what it seems a lot of the other retailers have done by sending it today, can't blame them tbh if it was a request from rockstar... We'll all be enjoying it tomorrow :)

Why does it "prove" it? Amazon posted some on Saturday too but apart from a few people in Ireland only a lucky few have received the game from them so far. I've got a few friends who ordered with Amazon and the game hasn't turned up today despite the dispatch email arriving Saturday.

As I said before, it's highly likely that the parcels were indeed picked up on Saturday, but they've been sat in a Royal Mail sorting centre until today because the Royal Mail don't work on Sundays.

Whilst Amazon UK are getting some flack for sending out the game early, at least they are doing their best to ensure that their customers will have the game on the release day.

If R* do penalise them I think they are daft, they are getting paid regardless and more people have the game on release date is better press for them that loads of people not receiving it because they wanted the sellers to dispatch them the day before release.

Why are people making this sound hard lol

It's quite amusing. Especially the amount of people who act like the 360 isn't designed to play games from disks. The 360s is whisper quiet too even when accessing data.

I will say though, it's funny how this game has a mandatory HDD install, so people with core Xbox's can't play it, yet Rockstar are advising people to use the DVD drive for the game disk.

Xbox drives are a lot quieter than they used to be but still noisy enough sometimes to annoy light-sleeping wives! Keeping the disc in to play is as old as the hills, but with hard-drive installs the disc is normally only checked once for security when the game is booting up.

I've not had a problem with my PC disc drive making lots of noise for a long time, though...

It's not 'that' quiet, especially when running the security check. My missus is a very light sleeper, too, and seeing as I mainly only get to play on the 360 late at night/early morning then it could've been an issue. Now that Ash has clarified some points, though, it might not be as big a problem as I was expecting.

They will have shipped Sat as the email I received indicated, but RM are not likely to be doing anything over the weekend, so no way anyone was going to get their copy delivered today.

Most people will get their copy tomorrow, I am sure of that, otherwise it is RM, not ShopTo's fault. Remember that R* explicitly requested that it wasn't shipped until today, so ShopTo were potentially breaking this "contract" by shipping Saturday, but probably the only way to ensure Tuesday delivery.

I got the email on Sat saying it had been dispatched too, but didnt think it was any sign we would get them today to be honest.

Like I said I completely understand people complaining if they dont get it tomorrow - really do get that, but regardless of when they posted it, the game isnt officially released until tomorrow so how can people complain they havent had it yet?

I can understand if people feel misled by the email, but the fact still is that the game is released tomorrow, anything earlier is a bonus. If people dont get it tomorrow then I totally agree with you, its not good enough.

If my living room was silent then yeah but I can't hear the drive access at all over the sound of my aquarium and it's not that loud. The only thing I can just make out is the fan that spins up when the drive speeds up and that's nothing like the old model 360, which was more akin to a hoover.

Amazon sent me a dispatch email on Saturday at around half 6 in the afternoon. Nothing today, expecting arrival tomorrow.

What worries me is the tracking reference they've given isn't working on the Royal Mail website, it just says "Sorry. There is no data available for this tracking reference, please try again later"

Oh yeah sure, I wouldn't complain today, don't see the point in that but if it doesn't come tomorrow...

Funny how they said it was dispatched on Saturday and yet there wasn't a photo of my order on the site, I know I wasn't the only one either.

My order is exactly the same.

Received the email at that time too and Tracking not working.
I did read that later shipments were sent without tracking, probably because the system is not coping with the sheer number or ro

I know, I've had 3 models of 360 and I still get complaints every so often so I wasn't relishing going back to the days of having to play from disc.

Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of being able to hide the noise under an aquarium :D
