What does everyone usually have for their New Years Day dinner? Are you having something different this year? Do you do a big roast again?

What about New Year's Eve, does anyone have anything special?

I'm needing some inspiration for ideas for the two days in case it wasn't obvious ;)

New years eve we normally will have a buffet. Hot bites and meats and cheeses etc.

New years day alternates between a roast or something like a steak and ale pie or a casserole.

I'll be out NYE, so NYD will be spent with a hangover and a takeaway. Never bothered cooking on NYD.

Hopefully for me, it'll be some Vietnamese streetfood delight.

We're out for dinner this NYE, but when we're at home we always have nibbly party food then a big brunch on New Year's Day - smoked salmon and scrambled eggs or a posh fry-up, depending on the levels of hangover!

sounds like my kinda new year

new year's eve this year is a 3 course meal at the hotel we're staying at. i think it's soup, beef and ale pie and then a chocolate cheesecake. then new year's day we tend to get an indian takeaway. i never cook (usually too hungover or tired )

I'm working on NYE but will probably have buffet mid evening and on NYD will probably either have leftovers or a takeaway.

I go a bit mad new year and do a complete thorough clean through of our home, so it's whatever we can grab, also heralds start of our healthy diet plan this year so will be something reasonably healthy, low calorie and quick to make.
