I didn't know that , what happened to his film career ? can't remember seeing him in much at all since .
According to a programme I watched a while back that mentioned it, he used to do interviews but his role and reflection on the Back To The Future movies was all he was being asked about, and his real interest is stand-up comedy. So every time he would bring out a new act or new stage performance, all the interviewers wanted to do was talk about Back To The Future.
Eventually he really resented the role as it was overshadowing his career so he stopped giving any interviews and wont talk about it at all.
I saw the trilogy again for the first time for me in probably 15 years, and the first time ever for my kids, who are 9 & 10.
I have to say that it completely blew me away all over again, and my kids absolutely loved it.
For me, 2 is the weakest but only because there's too much jumping around in time. I love 3 because of the finale, which really is edge of your seat stuff, followed by a really satisfying tying up of all loose ends. I don't think the final scene, with the train flying off, is over the top at all. I think it's the perfect ending.
BTTF is one of the finest trilogies ever made, IMO.
Loved Part III, was nice to see Docs character the focas, loved the bit where he falls over in the bar and is going on about the future, also think the ending is fantastic

Thought the train sequence were terrible. Too obviously a Hornby train set and considering some of the other effects were great i thought it was baaaad. Maybe they had fatigue from filming two and three back to back?

I really don't know what you mean. As far as I know, they only used a model (quarter scale, not train set size!) for the shot of the locomotive crashing off the unfinished bridge. The rest of the train sequence used an actual train.

God knows what you were watching, the train sequence was spot-on. Awesome "real" effects. Probably one of the last great pre-cgi action sequences.
It'd be nice if they could do something for 2015 , I know a full feature is off the cards , but something - a little story getting the main cast together and explaining why we don't have hoverboards and flying cars etc. !

also - has anyone been on the BTTF ride ?
No, by the time i got to Florida it had become The Simpsons Ride - which was bloody great anyway.

It just shows how people view things differently. That was fantastic IMHO.I felt as if I was on there with them at times.Watch the CGI train sequence in The Legend Of Zorro for a terrible, crappy effects sequence.

It's quite a ridiculous statement to be honest.
I'd love that poster to point out even one seconds-worth of footage that looks like a Hornby train set.

It's not train sequence thats in question, what's being referred to is when the Delorean returns back to 1985 on the bridge and the aerial shot quite clearly shows what looks like a track from a train set.

The poster states he/she "thought the train sequence were terrible. Too obviously a Hornby train set"
So, er, yeah......I'd say its the train sequence that's in question.

Im interested to know what the poster is actually referring to, but the only part that looks like a train set to me is this scene.

Not the best photo, but even if it looks like a model whilst actually watching the film - that's a moment that lasts 2/3 seconds on screen. It's hardly worth the exaggerated post of "The train sequence is terrible, looks like a Hornby train set", is it?
Like I said earlier, there's no moment in the full train sequence that looks like a model. It looks better and more realistic than half the cgi-enhanced stuff in today's action films like A Good Day To Die Hard for example - have you seen that helicopter?

It was that bit and when the train flies of the rails and reappears with Docs family on board. Of course just my opinion so I don't think it fair for the other poster to say it is ridiculas. I have seen far better effects from older films but if you enjoyed it, fair play :-)

And it's my opinion that your opinion is ridiculous so therefore I don't think it's fair for you to say my opinion is unfair.
That's just ridiculous.

Indeed. I really love the Western take on the score, too.

How awesome Doc Brown's models are.
Imagine if he had had time to build them to scale and paint them.
agreed 100%

It's not the future until we get hover technology.
I don't if it's officially 2013. It's not "the future"

I want that Black and Decker Hydrator that can enlarge, and cook your food within seconds. Also that electronic dog lead would be useful.
