Disturbia

I bought Disturbia on DVD ages ago, but just recently got round to watching it.

I really wasn't expecting much from the film (the whole spy on a neighbour thing is old), but was gripped from start to finish.

Anyone else enjoy this?

I thought it was a decent time killer. Ideal for a boring Sunday.

    Godawful nonsense.

Whichever exec. thought an overlong teen Rear Window with a tenth of the thrills was a good idea wants shooting.

Yeah, just see Hitchcock's Rear Window instead.

It was OK, not as good as I thought it was going to be. Shia LaBeouf is a little annoying.

Yeah it's a good watch. And it was made while Shia LaBeouf was still likeable.

It was all right, but the girl who played his love interest was annoying.

    When was that? :D

no seriously, for those who haven't yet had the pleasure, I concur with previous recommendation to watch Rear Window. and not only for the thrills and suspense (and Grace Kelly) but for the absolutely fascinating insight into 1950s everyday life.

if you like Shia Laboeuf - you will probably like Eagle Eye also (as well as the Transformers films)

Saw it last night on TV. I suppose it was OK but what struck me most was how pretty the girl was!

The movie is all over the place. Starts off as a serious drama, contiues as a romantic comedy and then finishes as a horror. I'd say it's a 3/10 and that's pretty generous.

That would be some nobody called Steven Spielberg.

    Which doesn't surprise me.

Dreamworks have greenlit quite a bit of rubbish over the years, as Disturbia proves.

Can't remember it much aside from being very disappointed. Dunno if it's technically the same or similar but I thought Arlington Road was a better film about a creepy/dodgy neighbour.

Watchable enough until they crowbarred a pool-party into the middle of it at which point I switched off in disgust.

Shouldn`t be surprised really considering they thought the piss-weak punning title was any good.
