Just a random thought that I wondered if anyone can shed any light on because I have absolutely zero knowledge on herbal medicines, but how common is it to inject herbal medication?

The product described is available as injection for subcutaneous, intravenous and intramuscular use. It is used for performance enhancement and recovery.

What's it called - I couldn't find it under the name quoted in the trial this morning?

I personally have never heard of it but maybe other athletes inject the same stuff?

Yes, I think there are quite a few herbal testosterone boosters that are injectable supplements.

If you read Oscar Pistorius's full account of what happened, instead of the snippets the media prefer to report, then it is very obvious he is speaking the truth and this was a tragic accident:
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2281135/Blade-Runner-Oscar-Pistorius-goes-public-PR-firm-releases-account-shot-model-girlfriend.html

Yes that's how it works eh?

You listen to one side then believe everything they say and ignore the other side

I think I agree with what many are starting to say; that even if for argument sake he is telling the truth and it was a tragic misunderstanding, it's still causing death by gross recklessness in the extreme - and a very long prison sentence will still be the result.

Time will tell whether the evidence leans more towards murder, but it's possible only Oscar will ever know for sure how it really transpired.

True. A young woman has lost her life because of how reckless he was(if he is telling the truth) Thank goodness he didn't have children who could be innocently walking around the house at night for him to shoot blindly at.

Yes, that's true, but then if you had a gun, surely you would feel more confident with the lights on, at least you old see any intruder and aim at them?

This is a very strange case, I just hope the truth comes out, whatever it is.

He shouted out before shooting. Surely that would have drawn attention to him. If he was going to shout out he might as well put the lights on and make sure he wasn't murdering his girlfriend.

I'm not sure what the precise stats were, but in the US, if you have a gun in your home, for every one intruder shot, there are 1.5 family/friends accidentally shot, something like a dozen homicides and 20 something suicides.

So he's in the bathroom and, by his own admission, screaming for the supposed burglar(s) to get out, and his girlfriend at no point shouts out "It's me, Oscar, it's me!"

She just sits quietly in the toilet cubicle with him yelling outside.

    Righto!

Yes you'd think she would be keen to let him know she was in the bathroom!

Did he say he yelled that there was an intruder in the bathroom, or just that there was an intruder?

If the latter then she may not have wanted to let any intruder know where she was.

According to some in here, she was half asleep so probably didn't feel the need to respond to his screams of terror. Baffling logic, but than again so is his whole defense.

It's not the fact that he accidentally mistook someone for an intruder and shot them. That happens. Especially in a place like South Africa.

Everything else on the other hand, simply doesn't add up. Is it plausible? Sure. Probably a one in billion chance that these chain of events did occur.

I'm hoping the forensic evidence will be able to eradicate this nonsensical story and this clearly unhinged man can rot in prison.

If there was an intruder in a locked bathroom, with no way out, and he was outside the door with a gun, he has got it well contained.

He could shout to his girlfriend to get out/call the Police etc.

I cant believe he's doing all this stuff, not knowing where she is, or making sure she is aware of what he suspects.

I would love to interview him about this.

A big row, with her locking herself in the bathroom, and him in a rage firing wildly through the door is much more feasable.

People have fatal domestics all the time whereby one party goes way over the top. They usually then come up with a defence to try and fit what they did.

I think that's something that we've lost sight of - whether he intended to kill her or not even if it was an intruder he was capable of being trigger happy without a right lot of reason and would have still killed someone,

he's a lemon. About all the pity i can muster for this complete imbecile. It makes me angry that ANYONE is even discussing whether or not he intended to kill her - point is, he DID kill her. She's dead because of his sheer, unforgiveable, baffling stupidity, or nutty vengeance. Whatever the reason, a woman has died at his hands. Lock him up and throw away the key. Can't stand to look at him.
